Readable only without AdBlocker? And goodbye!

It's really annoying when you visit a website and realize that it's only readable if the AdBlocker is deactivated. You almost have the feeling that you are being deprived of the opportunity to decide for yourself what content you want to see and what you don't.

As a user, I just want to surf undisturbed and find information without being bombarded by intrusive advertising. Ad blockers offer me an effective solution here: they block annoying pop-ups and banner ads so that I can concentrate fully on the content of a website.

However, if I am asked to switch off the AdBlocker or even pay for it in order to be able to visit a certain page, I am frankly more inclined to leave this page again straight away. Why should I waste my time? After all, there are plenty of other websites out there with similar content or services.

This fact alone casts doubt on the credibility of this website. If a company forces its users to disable their privacy tools or charges them extra to access the information they want, how can you be sure you're being offered the right thing?
