From event to community: Why we have rethought the TYPO3 Business Roundtable
Have the article read aloud.
For almost 1.5 years now, I have been organizing the "Business Roundtable: Digital with TYPO3" - a format that has a clear focus: Not technology, not extensions, not TYPO3 updates, but your business takes center stage.
The previous events have clearly shown me one thing: TYPO3 freelancers, freelancers and agencies are struggling with similar challenges. They are looking for answers to questions such as:
- How do I attract better clients who recognize the value of my work?
- How do I calculate my prices so that I can make a good living?
- How do I develop my business strategically?
- How do I find reliable partners and developers?
From occasional help to continuous support
At the events every two months, the same feedback kept coming back: "I'd like more of these!" or "It's a shame we can't discuss more between events." Many also missed past topics and asked for recordings or summaries.
The realization was clear: a single event every few weeks is not enough. Business success requires continuous exchange, fixed structures and a reliable community.
That's why I took the Business Roundtable TYPO3 to the next level: From individual events to a permanent community platform.
What the new Business Roundtable Community offers you
As a member of the community you get:
1. monthly live sessions
Deep insights into business development, marketing and sales for TYPO3 professionals with room for your specific questions.
2. permanent knowledge archive
Access summaries of past meetings at any time. No more knowledge is lost, even if you miss an appointment.
3. job exchange and project requests
Place projects that don't fit into your portfolio with trustworthy community members - or find exciting jobs yourself.
4. tool recommendations and proven workflows
Save valuable time with solutions and workflows that other TYPO3 professionals use and have tested on a daily basis.
5. permanent exchange and support
Ask questions, share experiences or discuss current topics - even between live sessions. You'll never be alone with a business problem again.
The platform: more than just a forum
With Skool, our community has found a modern platform that offers far more than conventional forums or social media groups. Here you will find thematically organized discussions, practical resources and a protected space for open exchange - all focused on the TYPO3 business.
In contrast to public groups, where valuable information is quickly lost, all posts here remain structured and easy to find. You can openly discuss confidential business topics such as pricing or customer acquisition without the whole world reading in.
Part of your contribution goes back into TYPO3
As before, part of the income goes directly into the further development of TYPO3 as sponsorship. With your membership, you not only support your own business, but also the open source software that makes our work possible in the first place.
The difference to individual participation
You can still buy individual tickets for the events. But be honest: do you really only want to benefit selectively? As a community member, you'll never have to miss an event again, have permanent access to all content and be part of a growing network of TYPO3 professionals who support each other.
Become part of the community now
I look forward to welcoming you to our community. Together we can achieve more than we can alone.
PS: For pupils, trainees, students and all those who are not currently working with TYPO3, participation remains free of charge!

Hi, I'm Wolfgang.
I have been working with TYPO3 since 2006. Not in theory, but in real projects with real deadlines. I've probably had the problems you're having three times already.
At some point, I started putting my knowledge into video courses. Not because I like being in front of the camera, but because I kept hearing the same questions over and over again. There are now hundreds of videos. Every single one was the result of a specific question from a specific project.
What makes me different from a YouTube tutorial: I not only know the solution, but also the context. Why something works. When it doesn't work. And which mistakes you can avoid because I've already made them.
As a member of the TYPO3 Education Committee, I make sure that the certification exams are kept up to date. What is tested there flows directly into my courses.
