I want to share with you today an exciting topic that is certainly of great importance to all of us who are active on the web: AI search engines and their impact on our websites.

You've probably already noticed that the way we search and consume information on the internet is slowly but surely changing. Thanks to advances in artificial intelligence, users now get answers and summaries delivered directly in their search engine - and often without a single click on a website. One example of this is https://www.perplexity.ai/, and OpenAI is also working on a similar tool.

This naturally raises a number of questions: What does this mean for our traffic? How can we ensure that our content continues to be seen and that we are perceived as experts in our field?

Here are three important points I would like to raise:

1. Quality over quantity

Now more than ever, it is important that we deliver high quality content. AI search engines are trained to deliver the most relevant and informative answers. Superficial content will have a harder time showing up in search results. So we need to go deep, do real research and create content that is not only informative, but also unique and valuable.

2. Branding and visibility

Even though users may not come directly to our sites as often as they used to, that doesn't mean they won't come into contact with our brand. If your content is used as a source by an AI, it can even strengthen your branding. Imagine your website being cited as a reliable source in the summaries - that can be a real reputation boost!

3. Adapting the SEO strategy

We need to be prepared to rethink our SEO strategies. How do we optimize our content so that it is preferred by AIs? This may mean re-evaluating the way we think about keywords, metadata and even the structure of our content.

I'm really excited to see how this will evolve and what new strategies and tools we will develop to keep up with this new era.

What do you think about this? Have you experienced how your content is treated by AI search engines? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments - I look forward to a lively exchange!

Who writes here?

Hi, I am Wolfgang.

Since 2006, I've been diving deep into the fascinating world of TYPO3 - it's not only my profession, but also my passion. My path has taken me through countless projects, and I have created hundreds of professional video tutorials focusing on TYPO3 and its extensions. I love unraveling complex topics and turning them into easy-to-understand concepts, which is also reflected in my trainings and seminars.

As an active member of the TYPO3 Education Committee, I am committed to keeping the TYPO3 CMS Certified Integrator exam questions current and challenging. Since January 2024, I am proud to be an official TYPO3 Consultant Partner!

But my passion doesn't end at the screen. When I'm not diving into the depths of TYPO3, you'll often find me on my bike, exploring the picturesque trails around Lake Constance. These outdoor excursions are my perfect balance - they keep my mind fresh and always provide me with new ideas.
