The great link mystery - Why does the TYPO3 community keep its treasures hidden?
Have the article read aloud.
Do you know this? You make a real effort, offer a free, simple way to present yourself - and what happens? Exactly, almost nothing.
At least that's how I feel with my TYPO3 newsletter. There's a great option to submit links to blog articles, projects or case studies, and I really communicate this everywhere. But the number of suggestions received? Quite manageable - not to say: almost mysteriously few. 🤔
Which brings me to the question: Why does the TYPO3 community hide its treasures?
I know there is great content out there. Are you afraid that your links will suddenly be buried by an avalanche of traffic? Or do you think: "Oh, no one will read this..."
Spoiler: That's not true! 😉
Seriously, I'd be really happy if you took more advantage of this opportunity. I'll explain what I'm looking for and why it's worthwhile below. So, stay tuned - and get your links in place!
The problem - where are your links?
Honestly, I'm really surprised. There are exciting projects, helpful blog articles, new extensions and successful case studies in the TYPO3 community - but when it comes to sharing them in the newsletter, there's suddenly silence. 😅 It's almost as if your links are state secrets that must never be revealed.
Of course, there are a few exceptions. But overall, the suggestions remain manageable, even though I regularly mention the possibility. Why? Are your projects not exciting enough? I don't think so! Or are you afraid that I'll look at your links in the newsletter the wrong way? Don't worry, I won't bite. 🦁
Maybe some of you are thinking: "What's the point of this anyway? Nobody knows about my project anyway." That's not true! You can reach more people than you think with your content thanks to the newsletter reach in particular - and with very little effort.
So, what's holding you back? Have the courage! Send me your links, I promise to treat them well. In the next section, I'll show you what content I like to present in the newsletter. 😊
What kind of links I'm looking for
You might be wondering: "What kind of links does he actually want?" Quite simply - anything that is interesting and relevant for the TYPO3 community! Here are a few examples to get you on the right track:
- Tips and tutorials: For example, this article with practical recommendations for TYPO3 v13 migration.
- Events and happenings: Who's up for TYPO3camp Vienna? This kind of information is valuable for the community!
- Projects and use cases: Like this case study on using Sentry for error analysis and performance monitoring.
- Opinions and discussions: Do you have any interesting articles or topics that move the web developer world? This post about WordPress conflicts is a good example.
Whether technical insights, experience reports or community news - anything that inspires and helps TYPO3 users is very welcome. So come on, now it's your turn! In the next few sections, I'll show you why it's worth your while and how you can submit your link. 😊
Why it's worth submitting a link
You might be thinking: "Why should I bother submitting a link?" It's simple - there are several good reasons!
- More reach for your content
Your project or blog article will reach a wide audience of TYPO3 enthusiasts who regularly read my newsletter. These are developers, integrators, agencies and freelancers - exactly the people who might find your content interesting. - Recognition in the community
Your work becomes visible and you present yourself as someone who actively contributes to the TYPO3 community. This can not only earn you respect, but perhaps also new contacts and opportunities for cooperation. - Networking and exchange
Your contribution can stimulate discussions and motivate others to approach you. Your link may even become the starting point for new projects or ideas! - Uncomplicated process
You don't have to write a big application or fill out lengthy forms. A short link with a description is enough - and you're in.
In short: a small link can make a big difference. 😊 So why hide your treasures? Bring them to light and let the community benefit from them! In the next section, you'll find out how to submit your link quickly and easily.
Join in - and bring your links into play!

Who writes here?
Hi, I am Wolfgang.
Since 2006, I've been diving deep into the fascinating world of TYPO3 - it's not only my profession, but also my passion. My path has taken me through countless projects, and I have created hundreds of professional video tutorials focusing on TYPO3 and its extensions. I love unraveling complex topics and turning them into easy-to-understand concepts, which is also reflected in my trainings and seminars.
As an active member of the TYPO3 Education Committee, I am committed to keeping the TYPO3 CMS Certified Integrator exam questions current and challenging. Since January 2024, I am proud to be an official TYPO3 Consultant Partner!
But my passion doesn't end at the screen. When I'm not diving into the depths of TYPO3, you'll often find me on my bike, exploring the picturesque trails around Lake Constance. These outdoor excursions are my perfect balance - they keep my mind fresh and always provide me with new ideas.
