TYPO3 v14 Integration Workshop in Karlsruhe: Up to date in one day
Have the article read aloud.
Systematically learn the new paths in TYPO3 v14 instead of searching for them: All-day hands-on workshop on August 5 in Karlsruhe. 12 places, one day before the Developer Days.
TYPO3 v14 has been available as a sprint release since November 2025. The final LTS version (14.3) will be released at the end of April 2026. It is already clear that a lot is changing for integrators. Fluid 5, PAGEVIEW, a new rendering concept. In addition, concepts such as site sets, which were introduced with v13, will become standard in v14.
The good news: Most of the new ways are recommended, but not mandatory. You can change over gradually. The less good news: You'll have to deal with it at some point. And with the LTS version in April, "sometime" will become very concrete for many projects.
That's exactly why I'm offering a full-day on-site workshop in Karlsruhe on August 5, 2026. Together with Eric Harrer as co-trainer, maximum 12 participants, one day before the TYPO3 Developer Days.
What you can expect in the workshop
Together we will work through a complete site package with the new v14 methods. No lecture, no slides, but real work on the code. The topics:
- Sitepackage creation: How to set up a sitepackage in v14 from scratch
- Site Sets: Using the configuration concept introduced with v13 correctly in v14
- TypoScript: CONFIG, PAGE, PAGEVIEW and what has changed
- Data Processors: Preparing data for your templates
- Fluid 5 and the new ViewHelper: What the new version brings and how to use it
- Further v14 innovations: Everything you need to know for your Integrator projects
The focus is on the new techniques and methods. You will find out which methods are replacing the old ones, why the switch is worthwhile and where you can continue to stick with the tried and tested.
After the workshop, you will know how to set up TYPO3 v14 projects with the latest best practices and avoid typical pitfalls.
Why now?
TYPO3 v14 has been available since November 2025. The documentation is distributed. Blog posts cover individual aspects. But systematically working through all the changes takes time, which is rarely available in day-to-day project work.
If you want to know what specifically has changed, you can already find a series of articles on my blog:
- TYPO3 v14: Three Fluid 5 Breaking Changes for Integrators
- TYPO3 14: The new rendering concept with ContentArea and f:render ViewHelpers
- TYPO3 v14: Asset handling gets leaner
- TYPO3 v14: Restrict content elements per column with on-board tools
- TYPO3 14.2: Four practical innovations for integrators
We bring it all together in the workshop. Structured, in one day, with direct feedback.

Another tip: The TYPO3 Developer Days 2026
The workshop takes place one day before the TYPO3 Developer Days 2026 (August 6 to 8, also in Karlsruhe). If you are already there: I can only recommend the Developer Days to you as an integrator. Three days full of talks, workshops and exchange with the TYPO3 community.
But: The workshop ticket is completely independent of the conference ticket. You can only attend the workshop.
If you want to work through the new v14 methods in a structured way in one day: You can find all the details and tickets on the workshop page. If you have any questions, just write to me.

Hi, I'm Wolfgang.
I have been working with TYPO3 since 2006. Not in theory, but in real projects with real deadlines. I've probably had the problems you're having three times already.
At some point, I started putting my knowledge into video courses. Not because I like being in front of the camera, but because I kept hearing the same questions over and over again. There are now hundreds of videos. Every single one was the result of a specific question from a specific project.
What makes me different from a YouTube tutorial: I not only know the solution, but also the context. Why something works. When it doesn't work. And which mistakes you can avoid because I've already made them.
My participants use me as a sparring partner. Not in the sense of "call me anytime", but like this: You come to the live session with a specific problem, post your question in the community or watch the appropriate video. And get an answer that works because it comes from practical experience.
As a member of the TYPO3 Education & Certification Committee, I make sure that the certification exams are kept up to date. What is tested there flows directly into my courses.
