TYPO3 v13 certifications are here!

It's done! After months of hard work, all four official TYPO3 certifications are now available for TYPO3 v13.

As a member of the TYPO3 Education Committee, I am really proud of what we have achieved. Editor (TCCE), Integrator (TCCI), Developer (TCCD) and Consultant (TCCC) - all certifications have been thoroughly revised and adapted to the latest developments of TYPO3 v13.

Why these certifications are so valuable

TYPO3 certifications are more than just a piece of paper. They are your official proof of in-depth expertise and professional competence. In a market where many claim to "know TYPO3", these certificates give you a clear advantage.

For freelancers and agencies, they mean trust from clients and a higher chance of winning work. For companies, they are a sign of quality that shows: Real professionals work here.

Special innovations in consultant certification

The TCCC certification has undergone the biggest overhaul. From June 2025, it will be aligned with the format of the other certifications and will focus more on practical topics such as data protection, GDPR compliance and accessibility.

The TYPO3 Certification Team has listened to valuable community feedback and adapted the content accordingly. This is exactly how it should work!

Teamwork makes it possible

A huge thank you goes to my colleagues from the TCCI team: Oliver Thiele (Team Lead), Sarah McCarthy and Axel Hempelt. Without their expertise and tireless commitment, this intensive work would not have been possible.

What many people don't know: All this work happens in our free time. We all have our "normal" jobs and still find the time and energy to develop these certifications and keep them up to date. This also explains why such updates sometimes take a little longer - but in the end the quality is right.

Why the effort is worth it

Obtaining TYPO3 certification is no walk in the park. You have to prepare intensively, prove your knowledge and show that you really know TYPO3. But that's what makes it so valuable.

Each question is developed by TYPO3 experts and reviewed according to strict guidelines. We make sure that the exams reflect the real-life requirements of everyday work.

What's next

With the v13 certifications, we have reached an important milestone. But this is just the beginning. We are continuously working on making the certifications even better and adapting them to the evolving needs of the community.
